- cool mental model from 📝 Cognitive Tutors﹕ Lesson Learned about learning tool design
-
at least in some way, this is the idea behind:
- how to memorize poetry﹖, where I figured you first have to start with single cloze deletion stuff, then at the end you can recite the whole thing
- which again of course is similar to Meadowmount chunking strategy — cutting sheet music into pieces
- Worked Example, but the growth is kind of...along a different dimension?
- Like, having to do more by yourself in an exercise is similar but not quite the same as receiving a bigger "instruction grain"
- how to memorize poetry﹖, where I figured you first have to start with single cloze deletion stuff, then at the end you can recite the whole thing
-
interestingly, 📝 Cognitive Tutors﹕ Lesson Learned did not note much success with this
~ gradually increase the grain size of learning
This is a Take note.
